Drawing exercises, looking exercises (4)

This jade plant is one I come back to every now and then to draw. It’s a ‘world in a grain of sand’ object for me to look at and draw. And today, it looks like a forest. It’s full of shapes has a strong structure and when you look long enough, has interesting negative spaces.

That is the beauty of looking. And the beauty of drawing here is that each leaf is a fresh start.

Of course, if one were to do a leaf count, this drawing would be missing quite a few! But who would do that? Not me.

Not sure what to do with it next. It’s asking for colour.

Would love to hear from you!
